Question regarding one way car rental in Florida

Hi,

i'm new to this board and hopefully my question is placed in the right forum here.

I want to rent a car from RSW to Miami Dowtown, as we are planning to do a cruise from here. Unfortunately priceline allows just to select MIA aiport to return the car.

Would it be possible to do a priceline booking from RSW to MIA but afterwards contact the car rental company directly to switch the point of return to Miami downtown? Are there any experiences with similar issues?

I assume that there would be an additional fee from the rental company or can i expect goodwill :)

I would expect an additional charge, and it may be excessive (so much so that you might be better off returning the car at the airport and then taking a taxi to the port (~$30)
