Just a quick note to state that I found PL's temporary feature (ends March 31, 2010) helpful and accurate with my recent hotel purchase in Los Angeles. I tried 3 days (24h periods) and the re-bidding technique to get cheaper than what PL listed in my area of interest ($64 for 3.5*). My last bid was for $62. I almost opted in for the $64 deal (PL offers it to you) but decided Hotwire was a better deal instead. I haven't seen this feature on PL before and hope they bring it back again, soon!

I was hoping for an unlisted 3* property (Crowne Plaza) but am happy with this result. This is currently listed as a 2.5* in the HW hotel list.

Interesting note: I always sign up for reward programs but they usually lock out HW or PL reservations (Starwood, for example). However, Priority Club did let me view this reservation online and listed the rate as $34. Are we seeing a HW markup, in addition to tax/fee? I can post this to HW General, if appropriate.
