natetc Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Hi all, this forum is great and you are all so helpful!I just wanted to get your feedback/ideas about a booking that I'm watching. I'm looking at hotels on HOTWIRE for Apr 25-27, 2010 in Venice, Italy.4*, amenities are Comp Breakfast, Restaurant, Hi-Speed Internet, $144/nightEverything points towards the Best Western Premier Sant Elena, however the second screen shows:Recommended in 90% of customer reviewers 20+ total reviews Overall satisfaction 4.5When I look up the hotel on TripAdvisor, it has 250+ reviews. My question -- how up-to-date is that TripAdvisor rating on HOTWIRE? Is it reliable enough to assume that it's a different property?I've looked up the other hotels on TA:4* Hotel Saturnia and International - 90% recommend, 224 reviews3.5* Hotel Ca' D'Oro - 84%, 1083.5* Residenza Cannaregio - 94%, 409Doesn't look like it's any of those, and given the low number of ratings, I'm thinking it's possibly a new property.Any insight would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!!
thereuare Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 The number of reviews shown in the detail page is based upon feedback that HOTWIRE has received from their own customers... it is unrelated to the number of reviews shown at Tripadvisor. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.
