saschb Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Hello,I tried to bid twice on a trip from ORD (Chicago) to FRA( Frankfurt, Germany), and the message I have gotten back is something like, "We can't accomodate you at this time" and then it gives a list of non bidding prices for that trip underneath the message. Usually when I don't get a bid, I get a message that says, "we cannot accept your bid," and give me options on how to change my bid. Am I not allowed to bid on flights to europe? I am so confused. Help!! Trying to book a flight for my mother and want to help get her a cheap flight!
saschb Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 I am also trying to bid on flights from naples to frankfurt...is there a priceline that is europe based that would allow me to bid within europe?
thereuare Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 No, all PRICELINE "Name your own price" airline tickets must start for a US origin. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 It's just cross-marketing... PRICELINE processed your bid requested, it was rejected, but instead of re-directing you to a screen where you can bid again, they're offering your 'retail' flights. Simply put, you had a rejected bid, they know you're in the market for plane tickets, so will try to sell you something they know you need.If you want to bid again simply click the FLIGHTS tab at the top of the page to resume your bidding process. What is the breakdown of base fare + fees/taxes of a conventional booking for this route on your dates? What was the amount of your bid? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
