Hotwire has 4 star, 90% recommended, 500+ reviews, 4.5 satisfaction.

Amenities: fitness, restaurant, internet, business center.

Is this Sofitel??

zone is NMA/Water Tower/Gold Coast

it's the 500+ reviews with 4.5 that has me intrigued

If it is the Sofitel it would represent a downgrade from the 4.5* level it was last reported to the board.

This is a bit of a mixed bag as the Sofitel is the only possibility which matches the 4.5* TA rating... but at the 4* level there are a lot of hotels (Allerton, Crowne Plaza Avenue, Westin, Drake, Millennium Knickerbocker) which have been seen with this amenity combination (yet none match the TA rating). It's important to note that the TA information shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in real time, but rather is a snapshot at one point in time (usually updated about once a month). So while the 4* hotels listed don't match the current TA rating, it's possible that a few weeks ago one of them at a 4.5/5.0 TA rating and has been been lowered due to recent reviews, but HOTWIRE is still showing 4.5.

Sorry can't narrow it down much further or have a high degree of confidence, but the above is a summary of the situation and why it's a bit 'up in the air'. Maybe AaronJB can give his own thoughts since he's local to this area.

It's the 90% feedback and 500+ reviews that has me wondering if it's Sofitel.
