Priceline Hotel: South Padre Island - Memorial Day Weekend

Hi - I'm trying to find a good deal for a beach front hotel on SPI. I've searched Expedia, etc. and they are all still more than I want to pay. I've never bid on a hotel before from priceline; any tips to get beachfront/balcony? thank you

You won't be able to guarnatee a Beachfront hotel with PRICELINE. If you go to PRICELINE and look at the zone boundaries of the South Padre Island zone, your hotel can be anywhere within the shaded boundaries of this zone. If you require a property directly on the beach HOTWIRE would be a better option as you can ensure this feature by choosing a hotel which displays the Beachfront icon. You won't be able to guarantee a room with a balcony with either service.

What are the actual dates of your stay? What are the rates you're seeing on Expedia? What is your budget per nite for a room? What star rating are you seeking?
