Priceline Hotel: Do prices rise or drop as the requested date approaches?

I want to book a room for saturday night, but the price for a four star in downtown west toronto is still pretty high. Should I wait a few days for a better price or is it more likely to go up by then?

The night of my stay is Saturday, March 27. I'm using HOTWIRE, and the price for a four star was $89. The price has dropped to $82, and the amenities have stayed the same (all toronto four star hotels in downtown west have the same amenities) but the percent of customers that have recommended it in reviews has dropped by 5%, which I suspect means that it is no longer the same hotel. That doesn't bother me.

What I'm wondering is if wait until tomorrow, am I more likely to end up paying more or less than $82? Can you make a reliable prediction or is there really no way to tell what will happen?

Nevermind, I checked the PRICELINE FAQ link and that answered my question! I am still curious as to whether the drop in percent of customers that have recommended it in reviews means that the hotel has been changed though!
