Boardwalk III Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 I'm interested in trying for the Marriott Harbor Beach resort on 12/27 and 12/28 before a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. Is there any chance getting rooms at this resort on a holiday week on Priceline? And if so, how many months in advance can I try? ( I have read all the tips about putting in a "resort" only request for FLL Beach area)
thereuare Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Everything is usually available... for a price. It all depends upon how high you are willing to bid.Obviously if you're bidding a zone where there is only one hotel at the star level you are bidding it becomes much tougher... that hotel either has availability or they don't.Book yourself a cancellable back-up and try. If you'd like help with a bidding strategy post the best deal you can find and your maximum bid and we'll work up a plan to attempt. Boardwalk III Posted February 4, 2005 Author Report Posted February 4, 2005 Thanks ...I've already booked a back up reservation. Is there a certain time frame when properties release rooms to Priceline (ie 6 months ahead) or can it happen at any time? Thanks again
thereuare Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 It defers from hotel-to-hotel and from city-to-city.I think what makes this so difficult, like i noted above, is that you're basically dealing with only one known hotel in the area... so all your eggs are in their basket. Boardwalk III Posted February 5, 2005 Author Report Posted February 5, 2005 I understand - thanks again for all of the great information
