Started bid @ $65 and accepted.I wish I had gotten a hotel closer to John Hancock Building, but satisfied with Sheraton.I am not if I had gotten a better hotel if I had started at a higher price, something like $100.Good luck bidding and happy travel.

AaronJB Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 If you would have tried to bid higher, you could have possibly overbid for the same hotel. Personally, I'd recommend walking due North from the hotel on Columbus (which becomes Fairbanks) to Chicago Ave, then continue North a couple of blocks on Seneca. That would be a nice route to the Hancock. Around your hotel, there is a large Dominicks Grocery (cheaper snacks/drinks) a block North of the hotel on Columbus and there's also the Fox and Obel Gourmet Market and Cafe 2 blocks East on Illinois and McClurg.
