Priceline Hotel: 4*- 5* NYC, Midtown suggestions

Any help would be much appricated!

Hotwire.com gives me 3 suggestions under 4.5* in Mid town, any ideas what the names are on the hotels?

(see below)

Or any "off the record" 4.5* or 5* stars on Easyclicktravel.com suggestion for this period that I guess will

be a better way to get a better deal?!

How about THE DRAKE for $169/nite?

If not, why not tell us a bit more about what you're looking for. On HOTWIRE you mention only 4.5* hotels... is there a reason you are avoiding the 4 star properties? Are those Hotwire offerings even worth looking at considering they're over your budget?

If you're flexible enough to try Priceline we can suggest a strategy to follow, but i would use the $169/nite figure about as the one to beat... unless for some reason the Drake isn't appealing ot you. If you do want to go the Priceline route, would you consider SPLITTING YOUR BID?

THE DRAKE for $169/nite looks promising, but I have increased

my budget a bit and limited my area.

Could you please let me know if you think this is the LE PARKER MERIDIAN?

and if you think this is the fair deal for this area incl Internet.

Indeed that property does look like the Le Meridien.

Note that the internet icon does not mean that it includes hi-speed internet access, it only means that it is available, and at this property i'd suspect that means 'available for a fee'.

With the above noted, is this is a good deal?

At a savings of $50/nite over the hotel's website rate, it is a good deal if this is the specific hotel you want; however, relative to what else is available, i don't think this is a good value, as i don't think the Le Meridien is worth $50/nite more than The Drake.
