ecruising Posted March 19, 2010 Author Report Posted March 19, 2010 We are arriving late Saturday evening and only need a clean basic place to sleep before heading to the cruise ship the next day. I thought that this might be the Rodeway Inn as some else reported it as 2*: Priceline Ft Lauderdale Airport the reviews on Trip Advisor are actually pretty good.
ecruising Posted March 19, 2010 Author Report Posted March 19, 2010 Budget would be up to $75 provided that there is free shuttle service for the airport & cruise port. Remember that we do not need anything fancy ofr just an overnight stay.
thereuare Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I thought that this might be the Rodeway Inn as some else reported it as 2*:Priceline Ft Lauderdale Airport the reviews on Trip Advisor are actually pretty good.Yes, the reviews for the Rodeway Inn and Suites are pretty good... but this is not the hotel above. The Rodeway Inn and Suites has a 4.0 TA user review rating where as the HOTWIRE hotel above only has a 2.0 TA user review rating.Remember that we do not need anything fancy ofr just an overnight stay.Understood, but when the Tripadvisor rating is 2.0 and less than half of HOTWIRE customers (already there on a deeply discounted rate) don't recommend the property, there is a good chance it won't meet many expectations for clean, safe, etc. and probably a hotel you should avoid, imo.Budget would be up to $75 provided that there is free shuttle service for the airport & cruise port. You're not going to be able to guarantee either of these amenties when using PRICELINE... with HOTWIRE you can guarantee an Airport shuttle by choosing a hotel with this icon, but there is no icon for a shuttle to the cruise port so you won't be able to ensure this amenity. HOWEVER, searching HOTWIRE for your dates there is nothing offered within your budget and displaying the Shuttle icon.Do you have a back-up plan? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. ecruising Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 May just book Rodeway Inn or Sleep in outright. Both $89 including shuttles. We have a full day and extra night when we get back from the cruise so I may try to get Westin Diplomat or Crown Plaza for that (even though they do not have a shuttle).
