I am trying to secure 2 rooms (through your PRICELINE links) for Amsterdam City Center - Museum Quarter 18-20 June 4*

Bid $69 yesterday, today $71 rejected.

No luck so far, I know you can add different zones but I am not sure if there are any 4* hotels in the North area, I definately don't want to stay there!

Any advice. I did have a look at other bids but none are for the the same dates.

The Amsterdam North area is "greyed out", so you can't bid in it at the moment. That also means there aren't any hotels available via PRICELINE bidding anyway. You are safe.

June 18-20? A weekend is it not?

We have been seeing some great $69 USD wins for 2010 already. Even during prime times. But we are also seeing some tougher bidding especially around popular weekends. And of course around Queensday.

I am guessing here of course but I am betting somewhere between $75 and $82 for you. Unless you are really unlucky.

And if the gods of bidding are against you then $83-$100. But so far, as best as I can remember without looking, its really only been around Queensday where folks had to get anywhere close to or over that $100 mark.
