Priceline Hotel: 4* San Francisco (USW-Nob Hill) Parc 55

Love the board, and will be recommending it to others. I tried several bids for the USE area, as there are 4 hotels there I was interested in. I set my budget at $90 for a 4* and the following is what I tried:

USE @ $70 DECLINED

+Civic @75 DECLINED

+Wharf @ $80 DECLINED

+SFO North @ $85 Declined

+South @90 DECLINED

Then I added Nob Hill, which was my fall back, and set it at $72.

ACCEPTED PARC 55 @ $72

BTW, I spent a ton of time breaking down the San FRan area, and which hotels are in what section. There needs to be an update for San Fran. Below is what I found.

Areas with No 4 Stars:

-Civic

-Wharf

-SFO North

-South

They have added Five 4*'s to what I found in this forum...they are:

-Huntington Hotel(USW-Nob Hill)

-Fairmont (USW-Nob Hill)

-W San Fran (SOMA)

-Campton Place (USE)

-Westin St Regis (SOMA)

Also, the Marriot is in San Mateo, not SFO Airport.

Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. Glad to hear you were able to save some money on this stay.

The Priceline Hotel List is up-to-date... it only contains hotels which have been reported to the board. I'm assuming that you tried using the "retail" version of PRICELINE to determine what you will get when bidding, and that side of their service uses a different universe of hotels than the "bidding" side of their service. There are some hotels which participate in the 'retail' arm of PRICELINE but don't participate in the 'name your own price' arm, and vice-versa.

Regarding the Marriott properties... this Marriott San Francisco Burinlingame is in corretly listed in the SFO Airport zone... this San Mateo Marriott SFO Airport is correctly listed in the San Mateo zone.
