Priceline Hotel: 4* DC (Dupont Circle-Woodley Park) Omni Shoreham

I tried bidding on a 4 star in DC downtown and Dupont Circle areas. I bid $85. Rejected. I added 3.5 star and rebid $95. Rejected. I then added 3 star and bid $100 and still no luck. I'm out of areas and stars. Any ideas??

I wouldn't recommend bidding as you have, as it's usually recommended to Lower Your Star Rating If You Lower Your Star Rating (you did the opposite and raised your bid price while lowering your star rating)

Is this only zone you're willing to accept? What is your maximum bid for this stay? Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the last expensive 3* or better hotel?

I really want to stay in either Dupont or downtown DC. I guess I can re-bid in 24hrs. How should I approach this? I would pay more for a higher rated hotel.

Sorry, missed in your first post that you had included the Downtown zone in addition to Dupont Circle.

What is your maximum you're willing to bid for a 4* hotel in either of these zones before you try for a 3.5* hotel?

Thats great advice about the rebidding. I'm willing to go to $150 for a 4* I've seen people get much lower but that is my max.

Thank you so much. I got to 135 and they offered the $22 deal. I took it for a total of 157 at Omni Shoreham. I know I should have held out but I was happy anyway.
