jim pound Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 I bid for a 3.5* in Downtown Asheville for two rooms for a three night stay. I bid for two days at $52, $55, $58, $60, $65, $68, $71 (using all the various areas of Asheville, as only the downtown area had a 3.5*). Decided that the 3* looked about the same as the 3.5*. Bid for 3* at $58, $60, $63, and then at $65 - which got me the Courtyard By Marriott Asheville. I was surprised, as that hotel does not show up on Priceline for Asheville. Is that normal for a hotel that is not listed to be included in the bidding? Thanks for the great web site - it was invaluable in getting this room at the beginning of the summer over a weekend - it seems to be peak season and the prices were really high. I got two rooms at this price - with tax and all it was $450.36 for two rooms for three nights, which is a great deal.
