airjuice Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Looking to bid for a 4* hotel and need some tips. I need 2 nights on Mar12 and Mar13. Cruising on the 14th. Looking at spending under $100/night if possible. :) Also, if 4* not possible, should I request 3* instead. On a tight budget.(like everyone else here :) ) Thanks!!!

airjuice Posted March 12, 2010 Author Report Posted March 12, 2010 Thanks for replying,I'm looking for Downtown Ft Lauderdale area and second to that would be Ft Lauderdale Beach Area. I need a room for tonight, does that make it more difficult or easier? Thanks!
thereuare Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 It makes it more difficult in the sense that you don't have time to 'lowball' too much and if not successful up to $100 then you're left scrambling for a room at the least minute. Are you willing to pay more for a hotel in the Downtown zone vs. the Beach zone (ie- bid the downtown zone first up to your limit and then switch to the Beach zone if reejcted) OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better in either of these zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.
