andcan Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Congratulations, you got your price of $176 for a 4-star hotel room.Check-In Date: Fri, Feb 18, 2005 Check-Out Date: Mon, Feb 21, 2005 The price may seem high, and I have read some not-so-good things about the InterContinental Miami (I don't believe the posts that say the pool area get NO sun - I'll let you know). But, considering the boat show is going on that weekend, and it is Presidents day and the start of most school vacations, I was pleased to find a hotel that is likely to be roach-free for under $200. Also, I bid for this on 1/30 and we were starting to panick about whether we'd get a descent place to stay.Orbitz, Hotels.com, etc all either listed this hotel as sold out, or had rooms no cheaper than $225, so I feel like I got an okay deal.
thereuare Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your winning bid with the rest of the board. The boat show definately affects the supply/demand relationship, but fortunatley not as much as the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show which makes Priceline and Hotwire extremely difficult! What bids did you have rejected before this was accepted? I believe HOTWIRE is offering this property at $171/nite for these dates.Enjoy your stay and the boat show. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
