I feel your pain. I'll be in NYC April 17-18 and, for the first time ever, failed on PRICELINE. My bids got up to $175.00 -- which included about 6 various Manhattan zones for 3.5 and up. I thought surely when I added 3.5 stars something would take but notta. Ended up getting a pretty decent deal for $179.00 a night off Travelzoo at the highly-rated Hotel Mela on 44th St. just off Times Square. Includes room upgrade, free snacks, and late 2pm checkout. Really can't beat it -- at least for that wknd. So, next time give Travelzoo a try!
