kidbean
Not necessarily. Really want to stay around 100 (maybe $115)Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
What i believe to be the Holiday Inn Town Lake is available at the moment for $85/nite, so i'll use this as a lower maximum bid threshold vs. the $100 you have mentioned above. With time on your side i would try a round of lowball bidding first, so don't be discourage if the following is rejected, we'll simply revise to try again in 24 hours. At the 3* level in Austin you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Downtown...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $55Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. kidbean
Looking for 1 room in downtown austin from 5/27 - 5/30. Must be in Downtown. I have been trying for several days now to bid for a 3-4 star room up for as much as $105 (started at 70) with adding on the round rock area as an additional area for the 3.5 and 4 star hotels. I really don't want to go above 119 since I can get a room off of HOTWIRE for that price downtown for a hotel I am comfortable with. I also really don't want the double tree university one (not the suites one) as it is a bit out of the way. Any suggestions would be helpful. Should I just go with the HOTWIRE for the doubletree suites? Preferably would want either the radisson or the omni as that's where the wedding party has made travel arrangements from. Thanks Link to comment
yellowdog
kidbeanPlease keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same dates. You're $14 from your max bid so go with HOTWIRE and get the hotel you're comfortable with if you think that a known property is worth that. And you know that you're not getting the DoubleTree UniversityLet us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. thereuare
Which hotel do you believe is the one being offered on HOTWIRE? What are the amenities? Is this one of the hotels which other wedding party guests are staying at?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. kidbean
I apologize for not using the same post as before--just was so long ago thought it was too old to be noticed now. The HOTWIRE listing has reviews that take you to the doubletree suites so that's why I said it was that hotel. The wedding guests will be at either the omni or the radisson. Link to comment
AaronJB
The HOTWIRE listing in question - if I'm looking at the same listing - is a regular rate listing via Hotels.com that shows the Doubletree once you click on the "continue" button. If you go to Expedia, there's a stay 2 nights, get 1 free deal for this property ($179 x 2 nights, 3rd free - hence, the $119 price.) If you use coupon 10WINTER, that takes an extra $20 off the total. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Expedia.com links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
