thereuare Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Best guess for the 3.5* is the Sheraton Tempe Airport with a new Smoke Free icon added since last reported to the board. Not certain of the 3* but i would guess the Hawthorn Suites, upgraded from the 2.5* level and a new Internet icon added to the amenity mix. However, at a higher cost and lower rated than the 3*, and poorer Tripadvisor user review ratings, not sure this one should be a viable option. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. cfdt48 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Report Posted March 15, 2010 The hotels must be filling up because a lot of the offerings were grayed out. when I clicked on that grayed out one that is what it showed, a partnership with Hotels.com. $129 Chandler - South Tempe - Ahwatukee area hotel Hawthorn Suites Ltd. - Chandler 5858 W. Chandler Blvd., Chandler, Arizona, 85226So with the demand so high on this weekend, the deals were drying up.My initial plan was to go check in to the McCormick ranch (which I got for $75) the first three nights and check out the area. Once I found the area We liked I was going to book the remaining trip. It has worked well in the past for a city I have never been to. This trip seemed different. the rates were increasing instead of finding better deals. The hotels must be getting filled. So I better get us a room!I ended up buying inn suites Tempe for $109 a night Thanks for your help.
