Bidding over last weekend

Started at $75 hoping for a Hyatt bargin increased up to $90, waited until Monday 1st March when did a rebid at $80 and had the pay $22 per night and the room is yours so $102 + taxes

I used the site's PRICELINE link at all times

Just have to find the Avis location and some cheaper parking seeing as STG/USD is going against me

I think Avis is in the Newport Mall's Parking Garage... as i'm assuming you're from out of the US, bump this thread and hopefully i'll see it during business hours and will call to confirm the exact location.

As the mall is right next to the mall (although the garage is on the other side of the mall from the hotel) it's certainly walkable, and i would inquire if you're able to keep the car in the mall parking lot overnite at no charge (if that is indeed where they keep their cars)... however, i'll note that the mall garage may not be open 24/7, not sure what hours you would need to use the car.

Also, i assume you're driving outside of the area and not necessarily using this as a NYC substitute... as a car really isn't necessary unless you're leaving the immediate area.

Thanks I'm UK based using this as a stop location to see outside of NY and depart out of EWR - cost for the third day of the car is (was) just slightly cheaper than a car service to Newark.

I did ring Avis and their counter is inside the mall on the ground floor near Kohls so I should be able to find it ! Although I forgot to ask about the car parking (argh) will work it out when I'm there, but I won't need the car late Saturday or Sunday nights
