decibel08 Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 i am going to nyc this coming weekend and will need to book a hotel for 2 nights (in 3/12, out 3/14). i've used this forum (and the associated links) to book both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE rates in the past to great success. most of the time i end up in the MTE area, so this time i was wondering about finding something in SoHo instead. as far as i can tell, the SoHo region tends to include mostly hotels aaall the way down at the tip of manhattan in the financial district, etc. what i'd be interested in is more actual SoHo, tribeca, etc. of course if i can't find something reasonable there i'm always fine with one of the $90 sheratons in midtown :)any suggestions ?thanks !
decibel08 Posted March 8, 2010 Author Report Posted March 8, 2010 i should mention i'm mostly interested in 3* and up
AaronJB Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 Congratulations on your success. :)I see one previous post for a prior win at a Hampton Inn property in ESB; if you have other previous wins, it would be greatly appreciated if you could post them. What would be your desired budget per night for these dates? There are some HOTWIRE properties in the Downtown-Soho zone in Soho, but they don't seem as common; on PRICELINE, there's no way to ensure Soho. If you aren't interested in trying for Soho, which Midtown areas are you interested in and what star rating would you like to try for?Thank you for sharing your win with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay
decibel08 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 i know i've used the links at least two other times but it was more than a year ago... i'll remember to post henceforth i swear.well i gave up on SoHo based on the inability to be in actual SoHo as described. but the $90 sheraton manhattan on the win Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins gave me hope and i ended up with the Roosevelt right next to grand central for $89 per night, two nights (3/12 and 3/13). i had to add basically all the manhattan zones besides the upper sides but it eventually worked. seems like a sweet deal to me.
