Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Ft. Lauderdale (Downtown) Amerisuites

I have been bidding for three rooms for one precruise night - Saturday, March 19th. Placing bids every 72 hours for the past 2 weeks following the standard advice (Downtown-Beach-Airport- Miramar). Bids have escalated to $95.00. Do I have a chance of getting 3 rooms or is that why I am having such a difficult time? Have I waited to long or am I bidding to early?

Your thoughts would be most appreciated!

I assume you are bidding at the 3 star level?

It's still early, and traditional rates seem inline with what would be expected during this time... i would continue to bid as you have been for the next 3 weeks or so; but do book a cancellable back-up in the meantime!!

HOTWIRE has what appears to be the AmeriSuites for $70/nite, but don't know if that's something you want to consider at this point in time (given that it's still early).

Yes, I have been bidding for 3 star hotels and have started to consider booking Amerisuites due to the information I've been reading here but would prefer a 3 star for my precruise stay.

Do you think I'll be able to get 3 rooms at once or is this what is causing the problem?

I don't think it's a '3 room' vs '1 room' problem... it's more likely that the hotels have not yet released their discounted inventory.

Since I was nervous about waiting to long I decided to go with the HOTWIRE approach and using the lessons learned on here I booked on 2/5 the 'customer favorite' Amersuites and was quite pleased. I was able to book 3 rooms as one package for $66 each plus fees and tax.
