amasteph Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 PRICELINE:4*, Paris, France (St. Germain, Latin Quarter, Montparnasse) Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel and Conference Center4/1/10-4/4/10I did not want to spend over $100/night for a 3 or 4 star hotel in Paris, but wanted to be in a central location. I knew that I could find something, but it took several days and tries to get the deal that I did. At one time it said they couldn't accept my bid of $90 but found a great deal in that area (St. Germain/Latin Quarter/Montparnasse) for $110. I didn't accept that since I wanted to be under $100. Another time when I bid $95 it said that I could add $22 to my bid and immediately try again. I didn't do this either. Finally I bid $99 on a 4* hotel in the St. Germain/Latin Quarter/Montparnasse area and won! I looked at the hotel site and the average price per night is $207/night for a standard room! I jus saved myself $108 x 3! My grand total was $332 for 3 nights ($297+$35.01 tax).
