Carlal
Hi, have searched and can't find the answer to this question on PRICELINE. If I bid on an Airport location (in Ft. Lauderdale specifically), can I assume that the hotel will provide a shuttle? I have to have one since I'm getting in late at night. Thanks a bunch for any advice !! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)There is no way to guarantee an amenity (whether it be pool or shuttle) on PRICELINE. If you do require a shuttle, I would suggest using HOTWIRE instead and looking for a listing with a shuttle icon to guarantee that amenity. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Carlal
Thank you and I will do that.Sorry, one more question. I checked the list of FLL Airport Hotels listed here for PRICELINE and all include shuttle service. In that case, would you think I'm safe in bidding on that area and counting on a shuttle or is this not a complete list? Thank you for your patience, I'm new to this and have had travel plans to Gitmo severely disrupted by the Haiti earthquake. Appreciate your help! Link to comment
AaronJB
The list provides the PRICELINE hotels that have been reported to the board - there could be others in the zone. Most hotels in this zone probably do include shuttle, but to 100% guarantee it, you would have to go with HOTWIRE and a listing that shows shuttle.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches, and please let us know what you decide. lew
The HOTWIRE shuttle icon doesn't guarantee the hotel offers a shuttle 24/7 or that the service is complimentary. OP is arriving late.A PL 3* hotel that's in the "real" airport zone is likely to offer complimentary shuttle 24/7. Some of the lower rated properties don't always offer round the clock shuttles. Some cities PL is generous with the airport zone. The PRICELINE map will give you some inication if PRICELINE is being "creative" with the airport zone.I'd use PRICELINE. Link to comment
thereuare
I'd use HOTWIRE... choosing a hotel with the Shuttle icon, but then going a step further to take an educated guess as to which hotel is being offered, then researching if that hotel's shuttle runs 24/7 (or late enough for my plans)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
