tnvols77 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 HelloWe are looking for the Swan or Dolphin on 4/5 - 4/8. Are either of these listed in Hotwire? Any help is appreciated. If neither is on hotwire then which hotel would you recommend for these dates? I was thinking about the Grand Cypress, Omni Gate or something else. Anyones imput/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, TnVols77
yellowdog Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Please follow-up your previous Hotwire NYC thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay... then bump this thread and we'll have a look at the above.Yellowdog.PS. Allways follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.
AaronJB Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 What areas would you be interested in staying in, and what would your desired budget/star rating be per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tnvols77 Posted March 8, 2010 Author Report Posted March 8, 2010 Disney area. Around $100 per night or less hopefully. Want to stay in a resort. Was looking at the Sawn or the Dolphin. Are they on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? If not then I think I read that Omni or the Grand Cypress were the best that were on HOTWIRE. What do you think?
yellowdog Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 tnvols77Swan and Dolphin are rare on HOTWIRE. And PRICELINE is not the way to go if you trying to target a hotel. Both Omni and Hyatt Grand Cypress are nice hotels but in diffrent zones.Have you looked at HOTWIRE for your stay and compared the hotels with boards Hotwire Orlando Hotels?Yellowdog. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
thereuare Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 I think you're going about this backwards...Rather than pick the hotel(s) you want and then see if they appear on HOTWIRE, you're better off seeing what is offered on HOTWIRE and then seeing if any of the offering(s) will work for your plans. If you search HOTWIRE does anything 4* or higher appear within your budget for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! tnvols77 Posted March 22, 2010 Author Report Posted March 22, 2010 I looked at the hotwire list. I still can not find the swan or dolphin. So I checked to see which resorts are on hotwire. I think I am seeing the Omni Champianions Gate for $79 a night. It's a 4 1/2 star in Disney Main Gate - Celebration Area. I searched May 8 - 12.resort, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, high speed internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby, spa services. So if this is the Omni at Champions gate is it as nice as the hyatt grand cypress?
tnvols77 Posted March 22, 2010 Author Report Posted March 22, 2010 Hmmm thats strange. when I choose the option for 2 rooms the hotel does not appear in the hotwire list. Wonder why?
yellowdog Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 tnvols77How many adults/children do you search for/each room?Yellowdog. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
tnvols77 Posted March 22, 2010 Author Report Posted March 22, 2010 There is my family, me my wife, my twin 1 year olds in one room. Other room would have my parents.
thereuare Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone (the hotel with the lowest price is the one offered) The hotel which appears on your one room search, but not your two room search, may have only offered HOTWIRE one room at a deeply discounted rate for your dates above, and therefore doesn't appear when searching for two rooms. Is there anything of interest and within your budget when you search HOTWIRE for 2rooms/4adults/2children? (although technically you could also search 2rooms/4adults since HOTWIRE defines 'children' at 2-17 years old, so you'd still be within their terms not including your children in the search)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. tnvols77 Posted October 10, 2011 Author Report Posted October 10, 2011 Thanks for all your help. We did not go to Disney as one of our twins got sick.
