Priceline Hotel: Need a San Diego 3 *

I need a hotel in the Mission Valley area of San Diego on 2/4 - 2/6. I also need two rooms in the same area for the night of 2/5 only. Any suggestions for Priceline bid stategy?

First quesion is:

Since this will have to be booked as two seprate rooms, and the possbility that you could end up at different hotels for each booking, would you rather:

Method 1:

Book 3 rooms for the nite of the 5th

Boon 1 room for one nite of the 4th

(this ensures that for the nite of the 5th everyone is together at the same hotel)

Method 2:

Book 1 room for 4th-6th

Book 2 rooms for nite of the 5th

(this ensures that the person for two nites won't have to change hotels, but everyone may/may not be at the same property)
