winkler1980 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 using resort choice for waikiki beach on PRICELINE.Hate to have to pay the parking fee if i can help it. any suggestions?
thereuare Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Hope you're happy with the results and this property works well for your plans. Unfortunately i can't offer much help with the parking situation as almost all hotels in this area charge for parking and/or the streets have meters. You may be able to find a private garage or a hotel that is a little less expensive, but i imagine you'll ultimately be paying for parking, it'll just be a matter of how much. BrianD4 Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 I don't know what your plans are, but the Sheraton Waikiki is very centrally located, and within 10-15 minute walking distance to most Waikiki area attractions (Waikiki Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, International Marketplace, etc). Also, if you don't want to walk, the trolley makes a stop right in front of the hotel, and it costs something like $2 to ride to most stops (the most popular is Ala Moana Center).Long story short, you will pay $30 or so a day for a rental car, plus $20 or so a day for parking, so you need to consider how often you will actually be using a rental car. There are many rental car companies with offices in downtown Waikiki if you need a car for a day, and I have always had good luck negotiating a day rate.Good luck.
TigerKatt Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Was that your first bid? What did you bid prior to this that was rejected? Thanks.
