Priceline/LAN special to Peru - How to get it?

I get this notice in my email about a fantastic air fare to Peru: Any city for as low as $339 RT, from the US! Wow, I want to go.

I go to the PRICELINE website site and yes, there is a fare from Washington, DC to major cities in Peru for $339. But when I try to make reservations using the form provided, I get quotes from 3 to 10 times the special price quoted!

How do I go about getting this special deal?

Also, it appears that it is not necessary to bid on fares at Priceline? What gives?

It's airfare... and rates can change very quickly and/or differ greatly from one date of travel to the next. It's possible the seats available at that fare have sold-out or that it is only available on select dates of arrival/departure.

The offer is still there (at the URL, <link removed>, I posted in my first post but which has been changed for some reason). It now says I have 11 days to take advantage of the offer, down 2 days from when I first visited the web page.

I have experimented with many different dates in the fare form but it is impossible to get the fares quoted in the special.

Please explain to me what is going on.

The links you're posting contain session IDs and therefore only work on your own computer AND expire after a few hours... causing the links to go to PRICELINE's home page, not directly to the page you're trying to references (which is why the links have been removed)

As noted above, fares change and are date specific. The rate may no longer be available (they sold the number of allotted seats at that rate) or was never available for the various date combinations you're using.

Thanks for the clarification on why a direct link will not work. But the page is easy to get to by just following the menus:

Click on the

PRICELINE

URL you provided.

Now click on "pricebreaker deals" menu item at the top of the page.

Once you are on the "Pricebreaker Deals" page, click on "flights" tab in row of options at the top of the page.

Once on the "flights" page, look at the very bottom -- there you should see "Flights to Peru on LAN from $339 RT!*". Click on it.

You should now be on the page in question.

This worked for me using Internet Explorer. Note that at the last step you have to provide an email address to actually see the offer page. Easy enough.

I'm hoping someone will test this offer besides me as I now only have 10 days left and I really am interested in taking advantage of this unbelievable offer.

I didn't say i couldn't see the offer, as i was able to view it... but that doesn't change the fact that the price/offer may no longer be available for one of the reasons i've posted above.
