Priceline Hotel: LF help in Chelsea

Just staye din NYC in Manhattan MDE at the 4* grand hyatt for 110 a night. WE are currently in the bahamas, and want to stay another night in Manhattan when we come back; however, we are looking to stay in the chelsea district. Any estimates on how much to bid for 3 or 3.5 star (or 4 stars) in Chelsea area for the 6th.

The highest star rated hotel currently offered in the Chelsea area is 3 stars. HOTWIRE has what i believe to be the Holiday Inn Express MSG for $119/nite, and i would guess that a similarly rated property would be on PRICELINE for ~$90-$110.

Personally, i don't recommend focusing on just one zone of the Manhattan as it can restrict your ability to get the best deal possible. If you're looking for something "different" I would also consider bidding for a 4* in the ESB zone where another user won on Priceline the Affinia Dumont for $135/nite for the nite before yours. No assurance you get the same hotel, but all the 4* hotels in this area generally get very good reviews, are 'unique' properties (ie- not cookie-cutter business hotels), and in particular the Affinia Dumont gets fantastic reviews.
