3.5* in San Juan area

amenities:(only 4)

Smoke Free

Restaurants

High Speed Internet

Gold Nearby

not too many amenities but i'm new at this and could use some help.

i saw 3.5* for $127 with following amenities:

1)Smoke Free

2)Restuarant

3) Internet

4) Golf Nearby

i saw on the Hotwire Hotel list that this would typically be the Sheraton San Juan, is that pretty much a for sure that i will be getting that (due to the fact that there are only 4 amenities?

another question i have is i saw also a 3* star in San Juan for $159 with amenities of Boutique, Beachfront, Fitness, Pool, and Restuarant and the Hotwire list has this as the Water Club. So my question is if you maybe know which one might be a better option for me. I am going with a friend of mine and we are looking to have a crazy time.

The 3.5* is a match for the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino (NOTE: not to be confused with the Sheraton Old San Juan... as the two are different properties)

The Water Club has previously been reported with a Complimentary Breakfast icon, but i don't see anything listed about this currently on their website, so it's possible that this is the 3* and that icon has been removed.

Not sure what type of "crazy time" you're looking for (beach or just a lot of partying??) but i'd be looking at the 4* which appears for your dates for $129/nite and the following icons: Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business

This is a match for the Hotel El Convento which gets excellent reviews. It's in Old San Juan so it will be close to restaurants, bars, etc... but not necessarily close to the beach.

For the other two hotels i think you're looking at a trade-off... the Water Club is on the beach but the reviews are not as good; the Sheraton is not located on the beach (i don't know much about the area but i think it's more convention center/business-like) but gets better reivews... but not as good as the El Convento which is the top user rated hotel in San Juan.

wow, i have been searching HOTWIRE for the past few days and this is the first time that option has popped up. unfortunately now the 3 star in San Juan area (Water club) is not around anymore so we are in a bit of a pickle. we decided that we want to stay in the Isla Verde/Carolina area due to the fact that that is where the beaches and the resorts are but it seems like now the only real option is $178/night through PRICELINE. The El Convento does look amazing and the reviews are great but we think we would like to be near the beaches and such. if you know of any other options in Isla Verde/Carolina that maybe we can steal with PRICELINE it would be much appreciated. thanks again for the help. its wenesday afternoon now and we want to check in Friday so were hoping our options dont fade away.... Additionally, if options are disappearing and this is a busy period, prices could head higher and/or hotels could fill up.

We are basically looking for something in the Isla Verda/Carolina area and it seems that our best option is the Verdanza Hotel, and it is $25 cheaper on cheapcaribbean. HOTWIRE cannot accommodate us anymore because they dont have anything that would be available in Isla Verda. Do you think thats the best option?

I don't know much about the Verdanza, but assuming i'm correct on the El Convento, they do offer beach access at either of their sister properties, one in the Condado area and the other in the Isla Verde area:
