SS919 Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Has anyone had any trouble with the name your own bidding in Priceline? I was just starting my bidding for the rest of easter week in Orlando and it won't let me add more areas/ star levels/ price while I still have many more combinations to go. A page comes up that says they can't accept my price and it pops me out of the bidding entirely and back to the regular hotel area with advertised prices for the night. Any insight on this problem? I've tried getting all the way out of the system and getting back on, only to have it happen again.
thereuare Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 It's cross-marketing... your bid fails, and PRICELINE knows you need a hotel, so they try to sell you one at "retail" rate.If you use the PRICELINE search box on the top right corner of the board, all your information is 'saved' there (since the PRICELINE page opens in a new window). So if you use that to begin your bidding, and you're taking to the "retail" section of PRICELINE after your rejected bid, simply return to this window and click the GO button on the search box again... all your information will be automatically propagated once again at the PRICELINE website :)If you need any help with a bidding strategy feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
