merluza Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Saw another winning bid passing on this forum for one day earlier, so tried my luck at 70$ for downtown. Raised until 76$ and 80$. 80$ was accepted by the Loews. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $80.00 Subtotal: $160.00 Taxes & Fees: $32.42 Total Charges*: $192.42 Could anyone help me out with parking options downtown? The valet parking rates are 38$, and we were hoping to find something cheaper nearby. Thanks.I used the PRICELINE link to start bidding.
merluza Posted February 28, 2010 Author Report Posted February 28, 2010 Sorry, I forgot to add the star level to the title, but cannot change it anymore (4*).
AaronJB Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Congratulations on your success. :)Terrific deal, especially for this far in advance. Hopefully a local board member can suggest parking options.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase.Enjoy your stay
thereuare Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 The Philadelphia Parking Authority actually has a very good website: Parking Locator. You can enter the hotel's address into the locator and fine rates at area garages... appears there is one a few blocks away at $19 per 24 hours (16 S 10th Street)... some a bit closer to the hotel at ~$24 +/- a few dollars. Also, note that the garages are not open 24/7, so make sure the hours work for the time(s) you think you'll need to pick-up your vehicle.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
merluza Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks! We don't mind walking a few blocks if we can get half off the parking fee.Yes, I believe this is a great deal for a stay in such a historic building. Rates at their own site start at 192$ (excl. tax).
