hello... curious as to what someone thinks the best course of action would be for getting a room on the dates above. I've looked at both Hotwire and Priceline but just not sure what to do (I'm in the paralysis by over-analysis phase ; )

Just need 1 room for 2 adults with a budget of about 75 or so a night... Hoping to get a 4 star close to the parks. Thoughts?

Thanks for your time.

btw I've been poking around the site for a bit and you guys are AWESOME... you kindly answer just about every question and appear to be right way more often than you're wrong.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I would start by looking at the Priceline Hotel List and seeing the 4* and Resort class hotels which have been reported to the board in the (Disney Maingate-Celebration) and (LBV-Downtown Disney) zones. See if one zone works/better worse for you than the other and if there are any hotels in either of these zone(s) which you would not want to receive. No guarantee you receive one of the hotels on the list, as you could be the first to report a new hotel to the board, or a hotel previously reported but at a new upgraded/downgraded star level, but at least it lets you know if there is anything 'known' which would disappoint

Alternately you could search HOTWIRE and see what is offered within your budget and desired zones and star level... then try to ID the property. The trade-off is that PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE, but HOTWIRE gives you the ability to take an educated guess as to the hotel you may likely receive.

I'd start with the above, feel free to ask any questions you have, and from there we'll figure out the best route based upon your goal for this stay and we'll advise accordingly.

The Renaissance Orlando at Sea World looks absolutely perfect. I saw a recent post showing someone had won it in my price range but wondered if there's a way to determine the likelyhood that I'd be able to get it. Pretty sure you're going to say no so is there somewhere on the site which compares number of 4 stars in that area (SeaWorld - International Drive - Convention Center) that have been won in the last month or so?

Thanks again

One additional view you may be interested in is to enter "Orlando SeaWorld Renaissance" (without the quotes) into the QUICK SEARCH box in the blue banner at the top of the board... this will show you all reported wins for this property.
