justthisonce Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Saw this topic and used the PRICELINE link above to bid $85 for a two-night weekend stay 2/26/10-2/28/10, hoping that a 3-star hotel would return rooms at Hotel Oceana. The bid was denied and the service offered me rooms at $107/night, which I took, and they are in fact at Oceana, whose rooms this weekend start from $189.Thanks, you guys! This is a wonderful board and it was great to have up-to-date information.

justthisonce Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Posted March 7, 2010 Just a quick update to note (in case anyone finds this through the search) that Hotel Oceana does charge a $20 resort fee, but that it is included in all rates -- so the PRICELINE rate quote is exactly what you end up paying. I hope this becomes standard among beach resorts: nobody who's budget-conscious likes to be surprised with hidden fees.
AaronJB Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 Thank you for the follow-up regarding the property.
