Priceline Hotel: Advice for New Orleans 4/22-4/24 (Downtown/FQ)

I've never used Priceline before, and am looking for advice on bidding for April 22-24 in either the Downtown or FQ zones of New Orleans. My initial price thoughts were for a goal of about $50-$75 for 3* or better, although this is the first weekend of the Jazz Festival so I suspect that might not be enough. I'd definitely like to keep it under $100.

At the moment i think you're going to have to go to at least $100/nite.

Based upon the discussion in your other Priceline New Orleans thread, and the higher rates for these dates, how do you want to start... do you want to try up to $100/nite for either zone for a 3* or better hotel?

In past years, February and March have been the hardest times to bid for Jazzfest weekends. If you can live with the uncertainty, you'll probably do better waiting until the first or second weekend of April to bid.

I think I'd like to try for Downtown first, then the FQ. I realize I may not be successful given swag's update, but I figure trying won't hurt. If it doesn't work out, I can try again closer to time.

At the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones. Priceline Re-Bidding Explained

I have been trying for Downtown/FQ that weekend around the $70/night and have not been successful yet.
