Priceline Hotel: NYC 3-4* 05/26 - 05/31 where shoudl I stay and how much?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and just found this site through money saving expert. Seems like you have a wealth of knowledge on this forum so I'm hoping I could ask you to impart some of that knowledge to me, I'd be most appreciative :)

I'm flying over the NY on the 26th May and returning on 31st May. I'm just wondering where the best place to stay would be? I'll be there with my boyfriend whom hasn't been before so he'll probably want to see all the usual tourist things. I'm looking to spend around $120 pn in a 3 hopefully 4* hotel. Am I being a little too hopeful here?

Also I wanted to know where the best place online or offline was to purchase theatre tickets. If anyone knows of any little gem resturants please let me know :)
