allera Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Going to Disney saturday, needed a room. I was trying for 4* just to see what would happen but ended up with 3*, which is what I was planning on getting anyway. I used up all my rebids on the 4* though. :)With all areas checked and 4* and 3* checked, my first bid was accepted at $45 to Holiday Inn Orlando Altamonte Springs. I went up to $80 on 4* and quit -- just too much to spend on a room right now. I would have started lower on the $45 but I used up all the rebids on the 4*. I was being conservative (IMO) with the $45.I wonder if I would have gotten accepted with 4* had I requested 2+ nights instead of just one. Maybe next time. :)Good luck, all.
thereuare Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! From reading your post it sounds as if you bid 4* adding one zone at a time, and then selected 3*, bidding all the zones that you previously included all at once. If so, here is a tip: once you completed your 4* bidding you can't UNcheck any zones that you previously bid, but if you close that browser and start over, you can begin to bid for 3* hotels with a clean slate... adding one zone at a time (thus allowing you to target your prefered zone(s))Hope the above helps, and thank you for sharing your winnng bid with the board.Enjoy your stay.
