yellowdog Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 GeepardJust a reflection on your post.1 Room, 2 BedsIt's no guarantee that you will get a room with 2 beds if you search for 2 guests. To secure separate beds do you have to search for 3 guests. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
Geepard Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 It doesn't matter if I can select one king size bed with two bedspreads. HOTWIRE only shows one uninteresting hotel.
thereuare Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 It doesn't matter if I can select one king size bed with two bedspreads. HOTWIRE only shows one uninteresting hotel.Sorry, i'm not following... are the two HOTWIRE hotels above still an option for you? When is only one 'uninteresting' hotel offered? Also, is this the only zone you're interested in and/or do you have reason you need to stay in this area, as it's usually not the most popular, nor the most convenient, for the average NYC visitor. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Geepard Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 Oh, sorry. I wanted to say that I can only find one hotel for 3 guests in one room. So the two Hotwire hotels above are still an option for us.There is no specific reason to stay in this area. We just thought of the nice view and that these hotels are not far away from the most attractions. Can you recommend an other area for the average NYC visitor?
thereuare Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I wouldn't necessarily recommend this area... what is your budget per nite for this stay?Any thoughts on the Roosevelt or Tudor Hotel at the UN for $186/nite? ... or the Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St for $166/nite?Let us know your budget and/or thoughts on the hotels above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Geepard Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 Thanks for your help. I think these hotels are looking really good =)Our budget per night is max $200 but we would be happy if we can save some money.Just for interest: Why wouldn't you recommend the central parc area? I thought this would be a nice area and (by metro) just a few minutes away from timesquare and other attractions. Perhaps there is a high crime rate at night?
AaronJB Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 A number of hotels in the Central Park zone are high up in the zone and a trek to Midtown sights. It's a very nice area, just not as convenient, especially the further up in the zone.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
