divadreka Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I am new to bidding but have been going thru the bids so I will have an idea of what to bid. I am traveling to Miami and would like to stay in the downtown area. I have seen winnings for 3 1/2 stars for as high as $55 and 4 star for as high as $63. I am now bidding and have gone as high as $75 for a 3 1/2 star but unable to make a deal. Is it because of the dates I am traveling? Can someone give me options. I have added lower stars in other areas for rebids. What should I do next? Thanks in advance
AaronJB Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Rates vary by date, and if this is a busy period then rates will be higher. What would be your desired budget per night, desired star rating and areas of interest (downtown only?)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
divadreka Posted February 23, 2010 Author Report Posted February 23, 2010 I have gone as high as $80 which is the highest I wanted to spend per night and it was rejected. Any advice?
thereuare Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 If you've already bid up to your maximum bid, your choices come down to:-wait it out and try again-lower your star rating-SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID-raise your bid-add other zone(s)What is your back-up plan / best rate you're able to find for a 3.5* rated property thru conventional booking channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
