Thanks to the postings of some recent bidders I was not too surprised to get this deal. Haven't stayed here before but it looks nice and I like the North Michigan Ave. area.

First bid: $50, 3.5* NMA zone only, rejected

Second bid: $53, added Franklin Park zone for free rebid.

This is a very nice Doubletree property in a terrific location. I'll also highly recommend Fox and Obel Market and Cafe (fox-obel.com), which is a couple of blocks SE on the corner of Illinois and McClurg. Nice breakfast/lunch/dinner choice, or just fun to browse around. Don't forget the free Doubletree cookies at check-in at the hotel. :)
