dennise Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I have been trying to bid for rooms in three locations for April and have not been successful. Bid up to $46 for 3* in WDW. Bid up to $75 for 3* in Clearwater Beach and up to $46 for 3* in Uv, SW area. I have been truing weekly since November. Do you have any suggestions? Any would be appreciated.
dennise Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 Sorry that I didn't word that quite right. I am looking for bidding strategy on a room for April 6-9. I would prefer a 3*, but a 2.5 wouldn't be too bad. Prefer the WDW area. Maximum $50. Thanks
thereuare Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Since you have some time before your stay, let's start with your prefered area and star rating. If you're concerned about not having a roof over your head then book a fully cancellable back-up while you continue to bid. When bidding 3* in this area you have five re-bid zones. If you're not sure which ones they are, or just want to confirm them with the board, feel free to ask questions/post. (re-bidding is explained in detail here: PRICELINE 72 HOUR RULE)Select 3* WDW and...Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $44, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $47, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $49, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $50.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck. dennise Posted January 25, 2005 Author Report Posted January 25, 2005 I finally got lucky and won a bid. Been trying to a few months, every 3-4 days. Started at $40 in U-SW area, They countered with $12, I added Kissimee and raised $4 and got it. This is where we stayed last year for $42, so very pleased with $44. Our dollar is a bit stronger this year. so that helps. Thanks for your help.
