Hotwire Hotel: 3* Daytona (Speedway-Airport DAB) Ramada Inn Speedway

Just used your HOTWIRE link.

Recieved Ramada Inn Speedway for $39 for Sunday, Feb 21, 2010 thru Monday. Amenities listed were Airport Shuttle, Pool, Restaurant, Business Ctr., and High Speed Internet. (Was offered on Expedia for $67 and on priceline non-bidding for $89)

Pertinent Info: Hotwire listed this as a 3 star. Expedia lists as 2 and half star. Priceline has it as a 2 star.

Am disappointed that HOTWIRE would be that far off in their star rating and i think maybe a bit misleading, however i anticipate a clean room and a place to lay my head tomorrow night.

While it appears this is an 'acceptable' value to you based upon the price paid, sorry you feel the hotel is overrated. HOTWIRE doesn't use PRICELINE to assist in determining their star ratings, and while Expedia rates this property 2.5*, both Orbitz and Travelocity both rate it 3*.

This is a follow up regarding our stay.

This was a motel. The room overall was clean with exception to some dirty handprints on the bathroom wall. Some plaster was missing and paint was chipping. The carpet appeared newer. The bedding was clean, though the beds themselves have seen better days. My wife liked the shape of the tub for her bath and the tub area was clean (no mildew). The room was "old" and in my opinion, not worth 3 stars. That said, it was a good value. We've paid much more for way worse in the past.
