trdarch Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Hello,Anyone have any suggestions to getting at least a 2.5* hotel in NYC for less than $85? I'm going from 3/25-3/30. I'm not too picky on location other than I would like it to be in Manhattan and not in the Financial-Soho District. Is there a good time to bid or does that not matter? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)In terms of getting a reasonable rate, I wouldn't wait until the last minute. I'd first try bidding for a 3* - and if you're open to any of the Manhattan areas (although I wouldn't recommend Upper West Side/Upper East side, unless other options are exhausted), you may have a chance at a 3* (although it will most likely require a price towards - if not at - your max.) If 3* bids are not accepted, then you can try again at the 2.5* level, although I wouldn't recommend going below the 2.5* level in NYC. Since you have more than a month, you can try some realistic lowball bids ($65 for a 2.5*), but I ultimately think if a bid is accepted below $85, it's likely going to be close to that level. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
