watty82648 Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 First time using priceline. After much research using this site, TOBB and Tripadvisor, :) :) I developed my strategy and took the plunge. First bid - $60 for Kensington zone, they countered with one time offer of $88. Rebid- added Mayfair, $75- not accepted. Rebid again - added Westminster, $80. Accepted. I bought the cancellation insurance because both parents are in poor health.Millennium Gloucester4-18 Harrington GardensLondon 44 20 7373 6030Kensington-Earls Court-KnightbridgeCheck-in: Saturday, May 7, 2005Check-out: Wednesday, May 11, 20051 room, 2 adultsMy offer: $ 80. # of nights: 4Subtotal $ 320.00Insurance: $ 20.00Taxes & Fees:$ 67.21Total $ 407.21This hotel was one of my top choices in that zone. Hotel website price is $304 not including any taxes or fees so I am very happy with my results. Would've liked to stay in Mayfair but wanted to stay under $100/night. All in all I think this was a success!
