trigyyz Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Hello,First --TY for your site! It has saved me money before.I was checking the i4vegas link thru your site. Me and the wife are going 3/28 -4/3. I saw some very good prices. We want to be on the strip in the best place possible and I plan on doing the $20-$50 dollar trick. My budget would be no more than $80/night. And since I'm using the 'trick', I feel pretty confident we'll get an upgrade. Do you have any suggestions? When you get time, please check the i4vegas prices for these dates and let me know if I can do any better using any of the methods you may have. Also, if you think the I4Vegas prices are about the best we can get, tell me the top 3 hotels you would pickThanks in advance for everything!TRIGYYZ
thereuare Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 I think the $77/nite deal at Paris thru i4Vegas is the best value which meets your parameters above. The problem with using PRICELINE for this stay is that they have hotels in the 'strip zone' which are not directly on the strip... so unless you're willing to stay slightly off-strip (ie- Westin, Trump) then you shouldn't use PRICELINE for this trip, imo. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (or our i4Vegas if you go that route)Let us know your thoughts and/or how it goes and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
trigyyz Posted February 17, 2010 Author Report Posted February 17, 2010 Thank you friend --I'm actually thinking about the Bellagio now --since we don't go that often. You ever heard of the $20-$50 trick working at the Bellagio?Your thoughts?Regardless of what we choose, we'll definitely use the links from this site.
AaronJB Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Please see this thread Las Vegas $20 trick
thereuare Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Rates at the Bellagio re about double of your previously mentioned budget above... are you know willing to spend $160+ for a room thes nites? Also, personally i'm 0 for 2 when trying the $20 trick in Vegas, so it working and getting an upgrde is certainly not guaranteed (or maybe i'm just not good at it :) ) so i wouldn't be choosing a hotel purely on the expectation of getting an upgrade... especially with a 6 nite stay, which includes a weekend nite, which makes it more difficult. Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links (or our support page links if you choose a non-opaque source) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
trigyyz Posted February 18, 2010 Author Report Posted February 18, 2010 Ok, we used the PRICELINE link from the site and booked our Vegas vacation!2 people, round trip non-stop flight from Charlotte, NC to Vegas, 6 nites at the Bellagio, and a rental car for $1977 total! Thanks for all the help! :)
thereuare Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Hope this package deal worked out well for your plans and that you're happy with the results.Since you have a rental car, I have a new restaurant recommendation in the area (it's about 20 minutes from the strip): Off the Strip - Just Real Food. If you dine at high end Vegas restaurants, this may not be the best meal you have... but it won't cost you the same either! As far as value this is a great Vegas 'find' (although if you don't have a rental car the ~$30 cab ride each way is hard to justify)Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Have a great trip. trigyyz Posted February 18, 2010 Author Report Posted February 18, 2010 Thank you for the well wishes and the restaurant suggestion! We will go here and report back in a few weeks. Thanks again!
