Priceline Hotel: 3.5* DC (Convention Center-Capitol Hill) Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill

I need advice for a 2 night stay in Washington DC, 07/14 - 07/16. There's plenty of time, so I'm wondering what's the best strategy... Start bidding now, or wait some longer?

I'm looking for 3.5 or 4 star hotel in Convention Center - Capital Hill area.

Budget is $60 - $100 per night. Is that a reasonable price for 2 weekdays?

Any help is appreciated!

However, have you checked hotel direct rates for your dates above? Current rates for these dates are somewhat high and at the moment i'm doubtful you'll be successful at $100 or under. Given the higher than usual rates, i'd also consider adding other nearby zones which may also be acceptable for your plans. Of course you can wait until you resort to bidding more than $100 or adding other zones, but i'd at least begin to get comfortable with the possibility.

I decided to change my travel dates to the weekend (7/16-7/18), and got the Hyatt Regency for $86. Of course I used the PRICELINE link to start the bidding!
