glindadagoodwitch Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Have been trying for awhile in the same price range. Was actually hoping for Makena, simply for the beach. But it's all good. Now we can walk to dinner! Total 3 nights with taxes and fees for 3 nights $404.82. Tonight I started with Wailea 4* at 115. Added Kihei @ 116 and won.Now how to avoid the hidden resort and parking fees???? Anyone?Mahalo
thereuare Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Congratulations on your success! While not the hotel you were hoping for, glad to see you're hapy with the results and can make this work well for your needs. Unfortunately i don't have any insight regarding parking in the area, and i'm guessing it won't be possible to avoid the resort fee :)Thank you for sharing your win wtih the board.prcieline.hotwireEnjo your stay. Robthegman Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I have been trying for the Wailea area for my wedding night (4/23/10) and just staying that one night. I have seen some people get the Marriott for as low as $93 and am willing to wait last minute to get this price. I already have a condo booked in Kihei, so I don't need to worry about not having a place to stay if I don't manage to get a resort for the wedding night. I see this last person was using 4*, I have been using resort rating and was wondering if for some unknown reason you can get a lower price for a resort by searching for a 4*? I also didn't know that they would give you a resort when bidding for a 4*.Thanks,Rob
