quiteyoung
Sorry, should be 3.5*. Don't know how to edit title...Successful bid on Jan. 19th.Got it on the first bid.Want another day from 02/22/10 to 02/23/10, extended the stay got rejected. got a counter offer of 238$ more! reject it of course...Keep trying up to 78$ until today, still didn't get it.any suggestions on it?used PRICELINE link here.BTW, first time in D. C., how can I get to the hotel from the IAD airport? any public transportation (metro, bus...)? Link to comment
headtrip
Because you got a weekend rate, it was very low which is great, but looking at weekday rates of $319 from the hotel web site it may be due to a conference or other event at the hotel that week and makes the $238 rates seem not too bad, but it's your call.As for the best way to IAD, Taxi's cost a fortune and the Washington Flyer means you have to take your luggage on the Washington Metro and then the connecting bus, but I've done it and it's not too bad as long as you are prepared for it. Good Luck! Link to comment
quiteyoung
Thanks for the reply. We have three people traveling together, one small piece luggage each. do you think it worth more to use metro, or hotel super shuttle or Taxi? Link to comment

thereuare
From the hotel website:Shuttles from Dulles International Airport cost approximately $27 per person, flat rate; cab fair is approximately $55.(although a phone call was quoted at about $65)Given the WashingtonFlyer is $10/pp plus you then have to pay for the metro (not sure cost, maybe headtrip can comment), but assuming $5/each, you're not at $45... so the question is whether the convenience of taxi/door-to-door service is worth an extra $10-$20. Nice deal from National.any suggestion on bidding the 02/22/10-02/23/10 stay? have a buget of 80$ most, before tax...capitol or white house area preferred. Link to comment
