kaiiak
Hi. We are planning on going to Maui 8/16-8/23. We have already booked a package for the first 4 nights at a condo in Kapalua, but are looking at staying in Wailea from 8/20-8/23. The info on hotwire is as follows:4 1/2 * Wailea-Makena 8/20-8/23$419ResortBeachfrontFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHi Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyMy husband REALLY wants to stay at the Grand Wailea. I'm not too interested in Makena Golf or Marriott because I think I can probably find a decent package deal on those two that would be much less than $419 a night. Also, we will be traveling with a baby (bringing a pack and play) and a teenager. In the past I've never had any trouble using priceline or hotwire and getting two beds or a roll away for our son (except once at a 2* in Northern California) however I've only used hotwire in California. In your experience, do the hotels in Hawaii give the hotwire or pricelines users trouble with this?I plan on booking by the end of this week if all goes well. Link to comment

yellowdog
This is a match for previous reports of the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa. The TA info also match. So the Grand Wailea Resort would be my best guess. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog. kaiiak
Thanks. If my husband agrees to taking the risk of using HOTWIRE, I'll book within the next few days. And I will use the HOTWIRE link. I will let you know how it goes either way. Link to comment
kaiiak
Thanks for all of your help. We decided to book on our own because United has a special right now and I got my airfare and hotel room at the Grand Wailea for about the same price I would have paid to book my airfare and hotel through HOTWIRE seperately. (Plus I wouldn't have to worry about getting a King room, I could request two Queens) Next time I'm looking for a shorter stay though, I'll definitely use your PRICELINE link, as I use priceline quite often for overnighters or short weekenders. Thanks!!
